No, productivity is not divergent from income.

You may have seen the below chart arguing that worker productivity has increased, but their compensation has not kept up. However, after looking closer into the data, we found out that the chart does not represent reality.

Long story short, productivity gains are not equal by sector. For instance, compensation and productivity track very closely in fast-food restaurants.
